It's not how good you are...

I was reading this month a book called “It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be!” by Paul Arden. The book is a guide to make the most of your-self.
We all want to be good at our jobs or want to get higher IPF, but the question this book discuses is “How good do we want to be?”
Quite good?
Good?
Very Good?
The best in our field?
Or
The best in the world?

What we aim is what we achieve, hire are some of Paul Arden advices form the book I would like to share some ideas you all…

1. "Do not seek praise, seek criticism."

2. "Do not cover your ideas. Give away everything you know and more will come back to you."

3. "The person who doesn't make mistakes is unlikely to make anything."

4. “It’s better to regret what you have done than what you haven’t.”

5. "You are the person you choose to be.”

6. "Dreaming and talking about it won't achieve anything."

7. "Try to do the things you're incapable of."

8. "Nearly all rich and powerful people are not notably talented, educated, charming or good-looking. They became rich and powerful by wanting to be rich and powerful."

9. "Your vision of where or who you want to be is the greatest asset you have. Without having a goal, it's difficult to score."

10. "If you can't solve a problem it's because you're playing by the rules."

11. "Don't promise what you can't deliver."

12. "If you get stuck, draw with a different pen."

13. "All of us want to be good at our jobs, but how good do we really want to be? Quite good. Good. Very good. The best in our field. Or the Best in the world? Talent helps, but it won’t take you as far as ambition. Everybody wants to be good, but not many are prepared to make the sacrifices it takes to be great."
